The mechanical vibration and noise of the motor include vibration and noise generated by mechanical imbalance of the rotor, noise generated by bearing vibration, axial vibration and noise generated by bearing excitation of the end cover, friction vibration and noise between the brush and commutator (or collector ring), and so on. Dynamic and static imbalance of rotors
Usually, the mechanical imbalance of rigid rotors can be divided into static imbalance, dynamic imbalance, and mixed imbalance. The centrifugal force caused by static imbalance generates vibrations of equal magnitude and phase on two supports. The centrifugal force couple caused by dynamic imbalance produces vibrations of equal magnitude and opposite phase on two supports. The most commonly encountered problem in practice is still mixed imbalance, which is caused by the combined action of residual static imbalance centrifugal force and dynamic imbalance centrifugal couple on two supports, resulting in vibrations of varying sizes and phases. The mechanical imbalance of the rotor can be eliminated by balancing.
Thermal imbalance of the rotor
The thermal imbalance caused by uneven heating or uneven cooling of the effective part of the rotor will exacerbate the mechanical imbalance vibration of the rotor, and the vibration can increase over time. The temperature of the conductors in each slot of the turbogenerator rotor varies due to inter turn short circuit faults or uneven insulation thickness in the windings; In the water-cooled rotor winding, uneven distribution of cooling water in various parallel branches can cause thermal imbalance.
