　　The output internal read back FBM240 has 8 internal read back channels, one for each output channel, used to verify whether the output has changed to the requested state. These channels read the voltage across the relay contacts on the relay terminal assembly. The status of these channels is displayed on the LED on the front panel of FBM240. When is external power applied to the relay contacts of each channel? When the relay contacts close, the channel opens, and when the relay contacts close, the channel closes and opens. If the contact state does not match the corresponding output state, the channel is marked as BAD. The FBM also monitors each of its eight outputs and sets the corresponding output. If the output is in an error state, the channel BAD is activated. If the channel or input power is marked as BAD, the CP displays to the Foxboro DCS as a system management alarm and control block panic relay termination component (TA) that can support the following discrete outputs based on the channel. Each discrete output is galvanically isolated from other channels and ground. When used with RH916AQ/RH916AR termination components, each I/O channel is isolated from all other channels, grounding, and output current fuses to help protect them from overload. The configuration options allow the input to be used independently of the output of the terminating component.
