(1) High reliability and strong anti-interference ability

Industrial production generally requires high requirements for control equipment, which should have strong anti-interference ability and high reliability, be able to work reliably in harsh environments, have a long average time between failures, and a short time to repair faults. This is a major feature of PLC control over microcomputer control. For example, Mitsubishi Corporation's F1 and F2 series in Japan have an average time between failures of up to 300000 hours, while the reliability of the A series is higher than that of the F1 and F2 series.

There are usually two types of faults in PLC control systems: one is sporadic faults, which are caused by harsh environments (electromagnetic interference, ultra-high temperature, overvoltage, undervoltage). As long as these faults do not cause damage to system components, once the environmental conditions return to normal, the system should have returned to normal. However, due to external influence, the internal stored information of the PLC is damaged, and it must be restarted from the initial state. Another type is permanent faults, which are caused by irreparable damage to components.
