Physico-chemical property of calcium chloride

     Calcium chloride is generally divided into calcium chloride solution, calcium chloride hexahydrate, calcium chloride tetrahydrate, flake calcium chloride dihydrate, powdery/honeycomb anhydrous calcium chloride according to its existence form. Calcium chloride dihydrate is a white granular crystal with strong deliquescence, easily soluble in water and soluble in alcohol; Anhydrous calcium chloride can be obtained by heating calcium chloride solution to 260℃; In industrial products, the solid content of calcium chloride dihydrate is generally 74%, 77% and 80%. Anhydrous calcium chloride is a colorless cubic crystal, and industrial products are white or gray white solids, which are easily hygroscopic in the air. The content of anhydrous calcium chloride varies with the composition, but generally the content of more than 93% can be called anhydrous calcium chloride.

Process Description of Calcium chloride preparation and refining  

    In industrial production process, the raw material are diluted hydrochloric acid and limestone or acetylene sludge. 

    The limestone lumps were fed into a set of reaction system which consists of three stage reactors firstly, and the hydrochloric acid was fed by metering pumps in proportion. During reaction, vapor was produced, which makes solid material flowing during the reaction process, and calcium chloride solution was obtained. After reaction, the vapor generated entered into the acid mist absorption tower to be recycled, and the calcium chloride solution was transported into a neutralization pond for ph regulation with lime milk. The neutralized calcium chloride solution flowed into a clarification system, and then was filtered by filter presses. After filter press, the clear calcium chloride solution entered into a buffer pond. 

    The lime milk was divided in 2 ways: one was used for absorbing acidic vapor generated during reaction post in the acid mist absorption tower, and after the hydrochloric acid was absorbed, diluted calcium chloride solution was produced, and it returned to the lime milk generation pond to be reused; The other one was used for pH regulation of calcium chloride solution in the neutralization pond.

    The whole process was carried out automatically after the raw material were fed, continuous process and stable production. 

Configuration of Calcium chloride preparation and refining system

    The calcium chloride solution preparation and refining system consists of limestone feeding system, multiple-stage reactor, acid mist absorption tower, lime milk preparation system, neutralization pond, clarification pond, filter press and finished calcium chloride liquid buffer pond.

1). The limestone can be fed manually or by pneumatic, according to the actual site condition;

2). Multiple-stage reactor was adopted for reaction, the reaction was carried out completely and thoroughly, free of residue in the reactor. And enclosed type reactor is adopted, the vapor generated could be absorbed completely, which is environmental friendly;

3). The mist absorption tower consists of three stage absorption towers, ensure the emission meet the local regulation. 

System Advantage

1). The whole procedure needs no manual operation after the raw material was fed,  human intervention is effectively avoided;

2). The reaction was carried out completely and thoroughly, free of residue in the reactor, no need of manual cleaning;

3). The quality of calcium chloride solution obtained is stable, and convenient for measurement;

4). Special structure is adopted for Ph regulation after reaction, to ensure stable Ph, no need of secondary regulation;

5). Special design of acid mist absorption, blockage is avoided, and stable in operation.
