Ball mill large gear installation: The ball mill large gear is large and heavy, and is generally composed of two half-gears, which is easy to disassemble and assemble. The number of gear teeth is even, and the opening should be on the tooth slot, and the two halves of the gear should be exactly matched. The installation method of the large gear is generally used to fix the gear to the cylinder body or the flange of the end cover with bolts. Some use a row of bolts to fix the grinding head end cover, the cylinder flange and the French gear flange. The three share a row of bolts, and it is inconvenient to disassemble when overhauling the large ring gear. This structure is suitable for small and medium-sized ball mills. Some use two rows of bolts to fix the end cover and the gear ring on the same side of the cylinder flange. It increases the size of the gear outline, and this structure is suitable for large ball mills.

Selection of the material of the large gear of the ball mill: The damage of the large and small gears of the edge transmission ball mill is mainly due to the wear and bending of the tooth surface. Therefore, the ball mill pinion must have sufficient strength, high wear resistance and good processing performance. At present, the material of the large ring gear of the ball mill is usually ZG270~500 and ZG310~570, but it must be normalized before processing to reduce the hardness to HB170~200. The pinion gear is made of 35SiMn, zg45# forging, 40Cr and other materials. After quenching and tempering, its hardness must be higher than that of the ball mill gear HB30-40, which can reach HB220~250.
