Spiral Classifier can clean and separate the soil and impurities in sand and stone. Its novel sealing structure, adjustable overflow weir plate and reliable transmission device ensure the effect of cleaning and dehydration.It is widely used in the washing, classifying, and impurity removal in metallurgical operation, building materials, highways, hydropower, construction, etc. industries, as well as the washing, classifying, etc. of fine and coarse materials. It is especially suitable for sand and gravel used for constructions and road construction.
Working Principle
The slurry is fed into the U-shaped groove from the feed inlet in the middle of the side of the channel. With the low speed rotation of the screw and continuous stirring of the slurry, most light and fine particles are suspended on the top, and overflow from the overflow Weir becomes the overflow product. Coarse and heavy particles will settle at the bottom of the trough (sand sink, pushed by the spiral blade above the chute and discharged, and dehydrated simultaneously during the transportation process.

The greatest improvements, however, are found in the drive-unit which has been strengthened and improved over all other classifiers. A specially designed classifier reducer eliminates the “over – hang” or cantilevered load normally found where the
reducer shaft carries the pinion. The Classifier Reducer has an outboard bearing integral with the reducer base which provides positive alignment of the bevel gears.
