Palm oil wastewater is mainly produced in the crude oil separation and purification process after palm fruit pressing. It contains a large number of tiny particles and also contains a part of suspended oil. Moreover, since the pulp is squeezed into a puree during the pressing process, the fiber and starch components in the pulp are also dissolved in the water. Therefore, the waste water is a kind of organic waste water with high oil content, and the grease in the waste water contains emulsified oil, soluble oil, phospholipids, saponins, etc. At the same time, the suspended solids in the sewage are also high; another characteristic of the wastewater is that it has less toxic substances, has good biochemical properties, nutrient ratio in the water is moderate .So,it is suitable for biochemical treatment.
