With a transfer connector (convert kit), the 1266A-5201 can easily replace the 1510A-5251 SX (Seperately Excited or SepEx) motor
speed controller (Part Number 102806201, CURTIS Model Number 1510A-5251). The two controllers have the same installation
dimension.
A set of convert kit costs 10 USD. When you buy a controller 1266A-5201 with convert kit, we will reprogram the controller for
obtaining the same configuration of a 1510A-5251.

For the buyer without CONTROLLER APPLYING EXPERIENCE, please consult your cart/motor dealer and read carefully the 1266 Controller
Manual (PDF format) and 1266 Controller Datasheet (PDF format) before making the purchase.
By default, we will deliver the controller with default setting of 48V / 275A. Various throttles can be used with the 1266A-5201
controller, including 5kΩ 3-wire potentiometers, 0–5V throttles, and electronic throttles. For more controller parameter details,
please take a look at the 1266A-5201 controller default setting parameter list.
For activating the 1313-4331 Handheld Programmer or 1314 PC Programming Station, J1-8 and J1-16 terminals should be connected to
"B+" of DC power source (minimum 16.8V, maximum vehicle system voltage); "B-" busbar should be connected to "B-" of DC power
source (minimum 16.8V, maximum vehicle system voltage).
Notice: We supply also the 1266A-5201 controller assemblage with throttle (foot pedal).
Overview:
CURTIS 1266 controllers are separately excited motor speed controllers designed for use in a variety of transport vehicles. These
programmable controllers are simple to install, efficient, and cost effective. Typical applications include golf carts and small
utility vehicles.
The 1266 controller offers smooth, silent, cost effective control of motor speed and torque. The speed sensor input allows
superior closed-loop control for regulating vehicle speed. Unique braking parameters allow simple, intuitive deceleration tuning.
A full-bridge field winding control stage is combined with a half-bridge armature power stage to provide solid state motor
reversing and regenerative braking power without additional relays or contactors.
