Common Problem:

1. Do you need to purchase a download cable separately?

There is an onboard download cable module U10 on this board that has been connected, J2 can be used as a download cable directly after connecting the USB cable, full-featured and fast.

You can also use an external JTAG download cable to connect to the 6PIN standard XILINX JTAG interface on the board. To use an external download cable, you need to unplug the USB port J2 of the onboard download module.

2. Is FMC LPC or HPC?

The three FMC ports are all LPC standards.

3. The advantages and disadvantages of the 7Z045 and 7Z100 chip versions.

7Z045 has better compatibility with the official board ZC706, such as:

A. Run the LINUX image downloaded from the official website directly, or compile the LINUX source code without modification.

B. Directly select the ZC706 board under the VIVADO environment, and directly use the PS configuration and DDR3 configuration of ZC706.

C, MATLAB has a toolbox connected to ZC706, which is directly available.

D, ADI official also has LINUX based on ZC706, which is also used directly.

The advantage of using 7Z100 is that there are more PL resources, and PS resources are the same as 7Z045. Suitable for users who are familiar with ZYNQ system.

Simply put, 7Z100 is strong in performance, and 7Z045 is strong in ecology.

Use our SC706_7Z100 version to connect to the official FMCOMMS5 (built-in two AD9361, strict RF synchronization) for MIMO communication development. Directly replace the official ZC706 development board, lower price, more logic resources for baseband algorithm processing!
