Curtis 1266 controllers are separately excited motor speed controllers designed for use in a variety of transport vehicles. These programmable controllers are simple to install, efficient, and cost effective. Typical applications include golf carts and small utility vehicles.

The 1266 controller offers smooth, silent, cost effective control of motor speed and torque. The speed sensor input allows superior closed-loop control for regulating vehicle speed. Unique braking parameters allow simple, intuitive deceleration tuning. A full-bridge field winding control stage is combined with a half-bridge armature power stage to provide solid state motor reversing and regenerative braking power without additional relays or contactors.

The controller 1266A-5201 is a programmable controller. Through the 4-pin MOLEX low power connector, a CURTIS OEM level Programmer (Curtis Model 1313-4401 Handheld Programmer or 1314 PC Programming Station) has full access to all controller parameters.

Notice: For activating the Curtis Model 1313-4401 Handhold Programmer or 1314 PC Programming Station, J1-8 and J1-16 terminals of controller should be connected to "B+" of DC power source (16.8V - vehicle system voltage); "B-" busbar should be connected to "B-" of DC power source (16.8V - vehicle system voltage).

With a transfer connector (convert kit),the 1266A-5201 controller can easily replace the 1510A-5251 controller (Part Number 102806201, CURTIS Model Number 1510A-5251). The two controllers have the same installation dimension.

Attention:The transfer connector (convert kit) is not included in the controller package. The unit price is 12 USD for a set of transfer connector (convert kit). When you buy a controller 1266A-5201 with transfer connector (convert kit), we will reprogram the controller for obtaining the same configuration of a 1510A-5251.
