Eaton Airflex 20VC600 constricting clutch for heavy-duty industry

Eaton Airflex rubber tube clutches and brakes is widely applied from the marine industry to heavy-duty industrial machinery and grinding mills, drum-style Eaton Airflex constricting clutches and brakes are available with a variety of torque capacities. There are three modes of it: narrow AHN, wide AHW and dual wide AHWD. These drum type element can be applied as clutches or brakes as working requirement.

AH model pneumatic tube brake with special structure, and widely used in heavy duty equipment. It is the same with VC pneumatic rubber tube clutch brake, which is well replace Eaton Airflex VC model drum type clutch brake. This drum type element can be used as a clutch or brake as different installation mode. 

AH model drum type pneumatic clutch or brake main components: Side Plate, Tube, Aluminum Shoe, Lining, Rim, Snap Ring, Spring, Torque Bar, Quick Exhaust Valve. For the aluminum shoes, it is integrated, polishing and oxidation, making its surface brighter and beauty. Using Eaton original friction linings, non-asbestos material, can prolong friction pads usage life greatly.

These components can be replaced indepdently, it is easy and convenient. This is the main difference between CB and VC pneumatic drum type clutches and brakes.

AH-20 20VC600 element can match with rotary joint, air coupling, drum and drum hub to be a complete structure as above shown. This pneumatic drum type clutch brake is driven by air pressure, air source can be inlet via rotary joint via shaft or flange plate as needed. After inputting air source, rubber tube will be expanded to touch drum, clutch linked for power transmission. When it is used as a brake, after supplying air source, rubber tube expanded to touch fixed drum, brake braked and making rotating part stopped.
