L Foot Finned tubes

The L fin design is for design temperatures less than 150degree,. This fin offers a certain degree of atmospheric protection of the tube wall against corrosion. The broad contact surface between the tube and the finning enhances heat transfer. This fin design is the most economical.

This fin is created by forming an aluminum strip into an L-shape which is then tension wound around the primary tube. Each L section is positioned against each other to ensure complete tube coverage. Also this manufacturing technology allows the use of relatively thin walled tubes.

Applied Fins : We provide L Foot Fin Tube and LL Foot Fin Tube .

Are manufactured by wrapping a fin around the base tube to give the required characteristics for the process application.

L Fin (or wrapped fin)

The fin is wrapped around the tube and secured at each end. Gives some surface protection to the tube. Used for moderate temperature cooling applications.  Upper temperature limit: 120°C

LL Fin (or Overlapped Fin)

The fin is wrapped around the tube with an overlapping foot and secured at each end. Gives good surface protection to the tube. Used for moderate temperature cooling applications. Upper temperature Limit: 180°C

Field of Applications

Presently, finned tube has been widely used in chemicals, electric power, metallurgy, petrochemical complex, boiler, constrction, textile, environmental protection, dehydration, medical treatment and other industry heat transfer field and so on.

The applications for finned tubes are numerous. Listed below is just a sampling of typical application.

Various economizers and heat recovery equipment, such as the recovery boiler flue gas, gas turbines, incinerators and other heat in the flue gas discharge.

Packing Details : Bare packing/bundle packing with woven bag/wooden or steel frame crate packing/plastic cap protection at the both sides of tubes and suitably protected for sea-worthly delivery or as requested.
