It is mainly used to sterilize cooked food and water. The absorbed ultraviolet light actually acts on the cell genetic material, namely DNA, which plays a role in photochemical. The energy of ultraviolet photons is absorbed by the base pairs in DNA, which leads to the absorption of ultraviolet photons The variation of genetic material causes bacteria to die or fail to reproduce immediately, so as to achieve the goal of sterilization.
