Primary Brine Purification by Ceramic Membrane CBS

Ceramic membrane is a porous filter with a fine pore size which is sintered from alumina or zirconia, titania oxide under high temperature. Ceramic membrane normally has an asymmetrical structure with porous support and the active membrane layer. The macroporous support ensures the mechanical resistance while the active layer functions fine separation ranging from microfiltration to ultrafiltration. Ceramic membrane always runs at a cross-flow filtration mode. The turbid fluid circulates through membrane layer inside single or multi-channel at a high velocity. Driven by trans-membrane pressure, micro-molecule and water pass vertically through the membrane layer to permeation side, the suspended solid and big molecule is rejected in retentate side, thus the feed liquid is clarified, purified and concentrated.
