1. Applicable scope: JT-C50 Moisture meter for walls and floors is a high-performance and digital moisture testing equipment firstly launched in our country by our company based on introduction of foreign advanced technology. The instrument is widely used in rendering of paints, flooring installation, floor construction, building, leakage inspection and repairing of houses, chimney cleaning, indoor and outdoor decoration and other industries requiring quick measurement of moisture, such as moisture measurement of walls, cement floor, wall tiles, marble, gypsum board, concrete, etc.

2. Work principle: This instrument adopted the high frequency principle based on the introduction of the most advanced technology from foreign country. In other words, there is a fixed frequency inside the equipment. Once the moisture of the detected objects carried, the frequency through the sensor will be different. The deference between the frequencies will be displayed in figure after the conversion by current-frequency converter.

3. Features of the instrument

1). JT-C50 Moisture meter adopts high frequency principle and display of digital LCD screen. Its probes are integrated with the main unit.

2). When measuring the moisture of walls and floors, there is no need to drill a hole on the targeting objects. Just place the probes on the surface of the targeting objects, then its moisture will be measured. Therefore, no damage will be brought to the surface of the objects.

3). JT-C50 Moisture meter is characterized in wide moisture-measuring scope, reliable performance and fast measurement. The measuring result will be obtained within one second.

4). Small volume and light weight of the instrument enable the workers to carry it conveniently and conduct on-site measurement quickly. Thus, it is of great help for the on-site workers in moisture measurement.

5.  Attentions

1). This Moisture meter works relying on touching the object. The premise of the measurement is fully contact between the three probes and the targeting object.

2). During measurement, hold the bottom part of the instrument, the body of the instrument should be parallel with the targeting object. Then slightly press the three probes on the surface of the object, the instrument will work.

3). As the high frequency is of great penetration, if there was metal around the object, the measuring result may be no accurate. Therefore, during measurement, there should be no metals or other objects around the probe.

6. Steps of usage

1). Hold the instrument in hand and avoid contact with the targeting object at first. Press the button “ON”, The LCD screen displays a figure within 00.0±0.5. Otherwise, zeroing knob (ZERO) should be adjusted slowly until the figure is less than 0 ± 00.5.

2). Hold the device and press the probes on the surface of the measuring object. Once the displayed figure maintain stable, then the figure is the moisture value of the object.

3). Use Gear 4 for measurement of wall and Gear 6 for measurement of concrete floor.

4). When measuring the moisture of marbles, gypsum boards, mud bricks, fireproof boards, the testing result needs to be verified. For example, when measuring some object, the moisture of the sample object is 15%, then adjust the gear until the measuring result is also the same as the sample. If Gear 7 was used for the final result of 15%, then always use gear 7 in the measurement of the same object in the future.  

5). replacement of the battery: When the knob (zero) can not be regulated within 0 ± 00.5 or the figure increased irregularly, or the LOBAT is displayed on the upper left of the screen, then replace the battery with a new one of 9V(6F22). If the battery still works, disclose the cover of the instrument, use a screw driver to adjust the small brass screw on the bottom of the instrument.
