Seed boxes should be clean and free from dirt, tools or other items. When seeding, the seeds are pure seeds, not mixed with urea or other particulate matter.

In addition, the planter should be maintained. The mud and grass on the opener and seeder should be cleaned daily to reduce resistance and ensure seed quality.
