This will prevent damage to pipes and cables and provides a safer working environment for service engineers. 

Edge profiles and clamping profiles are different types of profiles, but both terms are used. A rubber edge trim or edge profile is clamped to protect a sharp steel edge. A clamping profile has, besides the clamping application, also a sealing function by means of an additional air chamber or a lip seal. This profile can be used in doors and hatches. Placement is easy, because the metal insert gives it a self-clamping effect.
