Produced using marine grade stainless steel, our exclusive matt black metal business cards are truly exquisite. Using our photo-chemical production process, we cut through the steel and then laser etch the graphics and text into the tough, anodised matt black surface, bringing your design to life. Our black metal cards are available in your choice of 200, 300 or 400 micron thick steel.
 

   We have produced a wide range of coloured Letterpress metal cards for a while, but we kept being asked ‘can you do black?’. Our usual process for colouring the steel involves adding a tinted translucent lacquer to the surface of the card. But without bending the laws of physics, creating a lacquer that’s both black and translucent is impossible. So we had to find an alterative solution. Instead we anodise the marine grade stainless steel. This provides a tough, matt finish. We then laser etch and cut the artwork into its surface using the same process as our original metal business cards.
