Ultem Polyetherimide resin PEI Plastic Raw Material

 PEI (polyetherimide) resin is a transparent amber solid, do not add any additives have inherent flame resistance and low smoke, the oxygen index of 47%, combustion grade UL94-V-0 level density of 1.28~1.42g/cm3.

PEI has a strong high temperature stability, even on-enhanced PEI, still has a good toughness and strength. Therefore, the use of PEI superior thermal stability can be used to make high temperature resistance device. It has excellent mechanical properties, electrical insulation properties, radiation resistance, high temperature resistance and wear resistance, and through the mircowave.

PEI also good flame resistance, chemcial resistance and electrical insulating properties. A high glass transition temperature, up to 215 degree.

PEI also has very low shrinkage and good mechancial properties such as the direction. Glass fiber, carbon fiber or other fillers can be modified to enhance the purpose; and other engineering plastics can also be composed of heat resistant polymer alloy, long term use -160 ~ 180 degree operating temperature.

PEI replace the metal fiber optic connectors, enable the device structure optimization, to streamline its manufacturing and assembly steps to maintain a more accruate size. For the automotive sector, such as manufacture of high temperature connectors, production, high power lamps and lights, external temperature control compartment of the vehicle sensors and sensor control of air and fuel mixture. Erosion is also used as high temperature lubrication pump, impeller, the distiller 180 degree operating ground glass joints (bearing interface), non-lighting, anti-fog mirrors.
