Silica sand

Silica is a milkwhite or translucent silicate minerals which is hard,wear resistant and stable, the main ingredient of which is silicon dioxide. Most silica sand is made up of broken down quartz crystals. Silica is another name for silicon dioxide, SiO2, of which quartz is a specific latticed structure.

Silica sand is used throughout the world, and in so many different ways it is hard to imagine a world without it. From water filtration, to glass manufacture, to industrial casting, to sand blasting, to producing concrete, to adding texture to slick roads, to create molds and castings, silica sand impacts every aspect of daily life. One of the major uses of silica sand in the modern world is as an ingredient in industrial concrete

Used in water treatment: 0.5-1.0mm 0.6-1.2mm 1-2mm 2-4mm 4-8mm 8-16mm 16-32mm

Used in industrial casting: 20-40mesh, 40-70mesh , 50-100mesh, 80-120mesh 

Used for rust removal: 1-2mm, 1-3mm
