MIP5500 is the construction of terrestrial digital TV single frequency network core devices, its main function is the upper and lower edges of each 1PPS, relying on an external reference clock 1PPS, 10MHz high-precision clock signal, in a variety of different transport stream packets periodically precise insertion MIP (Mega frame initialization packet), so that all the transmitters in single frequency network signals from the clock frequency to maintain synchronization on the bit. RS Coding

If the ASI input includes RS codes, RS error correction can be realized. In the hierarchical model, can be two-way MPEG-TS stream (ASI 1 & ASI 2) Parallel Implementation of RS error correction.

NIT Update

Can be activated manually update the table on the NIT

Currently selected DVB-T or DVB-H mode and transmitting frequency information into NIT table, so that NIT updated this feature, launch frequency value can be saved to the device non-volatile memory.

MIP Processing

Through the use of an external reference (1 PPS and 10 MHZ), calculate the synchronization information (time stamps), and to insert it into the MIP package, but can also calculate the maximum network delay.

According to user settings in the device control information generated MIP and then carry the MIP control information into MPEG-TS packet stream.

Non-hierarchical mode, sending the first packet of a frame before the MegaFrame, insert the MIP packet into MPEG-TS.

Hierarchical mode, sending the first frame before the MegaFrame, instert the MIP package into each MPEG-TS stream.

Bit rate adaptation

Equipment during MIP insertion, we must also adjust the transmission bit rate corresponding to the bit rate of strict compliance with transmission standards, the user selects the different mode (DVB-T or DVB-H) ,so the standard transmission bit rate value is not the same.

When this mode is active, by dropped or inserted the empty package to make sure the input bit rate according to the DVB-T or DVB-H standard.

Then the time of PCR tag will be replacement.

Synchronization and clock

MIP own plug-in module internal clock and synchronization generator: a 10 MHz TCXO clock, a 1 PPS synchronization clock.

Highly stable 10 MHz TCXO module clock for the internal reference clock system provides clock, highly stable 1 PPS synchronization clock synchronization system for the module provides the internal synchronous reference clock.

In the course of normal operation of this equipment, if the loss of the external 10 MHz reference clock, the module will automatically switch to the internal reference clock, this switch is seamless conducted. This would ensure the continuity of the work equipment.

If you need better performance of 10 MHz reference clock and 1 PPS synchronization reference clock, the user should choose to use an external 10 MHz reference clock.

Generated from the GPS receiver 1 PPS synchronization signals used to calculate the MIP package insert information on the time posted, the user can choose to use the rising edge or falling edge of the signal as the synchronization reference SFN mode.
