Pellet Mill LGX-450

A pellet mill,  is a kind of mill press employed to produce pellets from powdered material. Pellet mills are totally different from grinding mills, in that they combine small and powdered materials into a larger, homogeneous mass, rather than grind large materials into smaller pieces or powder. Pellet mill produced by Yugong is used to create crushed biomass materials such as wood, crop stalk and straw into biomass pellets which are easy found in the field of feed plant, wood processing, fuel plant, fertilizer plant and chemical plant, etc.

Features of Yugong Pellet Mill

Biofuel is a kind of regenerated fuel which is made from wasted crops such as corn stalk, wheat straw, rice straw, peanut shell, corn cob, cotton, soybean pole, weeds, branches, leaves, sawdust, tree bark and other solid waste, after crushing, pressing, densification, molding, the biomass is made into small solid stick/pellet fuel. The core part of the biomass pellet mill is the pressing roller and ring die, which is used to press and extrude the raw material(sawdust, straw, etc.). The density of material is about 130 kg/m3, while the formed pellets density can be more than 1,100 kg/m3, thus it is easy for transportation, storage, at the same time,  the combustion performance is greatly improved.

Flow of pelleting: collecting raw material-crushing-drying-pelleting-bagging. Don't bag or transport it immediately after molding, leave it for cooling 40 minutes since the principle of thermal expansion and cold shrinkage.

The biomass pellets fuel after molding has the features of big proportion, small size, good combustibility, easy to storage and transportation. Pellet volume is 1/30~1/40 of the size of the raw material, the proportion can be 10~15 times bigger that the raw material ( 0.8-1.4) with calorific value reaching 3400~6000, is a solid fuel with high volatile phenol.

Biomass pellet fuel is a new type of biological energy, which can replace wood, coal, oil, liquefied petroleum gas, etc., are widely used in heating, life stove, hot water boilers, industrial boilers, biomass power plant, etc.
