Electroslag furnace
It’s a special smelting equipment which takeadvantage of heat energy produced by remelting current to melt self consumptionelectrode in slag pool. then Metal molten droplets washed by slag liquidcrystallize to electro slag ingot in the water cooling crystallizer. Because ofslag liquid’s eliminating impurity function and fine conditions ofcrystallization, electro slag remelting metals have fine performance: welldegree of purity, fine equal cast structure, no fish eyes and segregation, lowsulfur content, tiny and fine distribution inclusions. Therefore, electro slagremelting is in the monopoly position in the production of large and mediumforgings and module semi finished materials. It is dominant in the high qualityof mould steels, maraging steel, dual-phase steel billets and cold roll steelelectro slag. It has special place in the electro slag odd shaped parts.
