High Shear Mixer

The high shear mixer is a concentric rotor-stator system with indentations or cavities machined into the rotor and stator surfaces. The cavities in the rotor and stator are typically spherical segments which are open on both vertical and horizontal faces. The rotor and stator are based on a stepped conical form so that the diameter of the cone increases from inlet to outlet. This increasing diameter provides a centrifugal pumping effect.

Your question suggests your tank exists and you only need to improve the high shear mixing efficiency. If your tank system includes a transfer pump, consider installing a circulating loop which includes an inline mixer. A few turnovers of the tank contents through a static high shear mixer will ensure you have thoroughly mixed your ingredients. Proper sizing and flow will minimize solids sticking to the mixer surfaces. If that is a concern though, you can install the inline high shear mixer with quick disconnects for removal and cleaning much more easily than entering and scraping materials from a baffled tank.
