CA1000 uses same sophisticated oxide-semiconductor sensor as shown at right side and its test result is UNAFFECTED by COLA, COFFEE&SMOKING, which are commonly consumed with alcoholic beverage. How To Use: 1)Press the POWER Botton - Soon after a beep, The LED Lamps of the tester will be lighting one by one from the green to red and then red to green for 20 seconds. This is warm-up process prepares the sensor for testing. - It is a "Warm-up" process to make the sensor and circuit be ready for testing. 2)When you hear a beep and the green "Ready" LED lamp is on, place your lips on the mouthpiece and blow steadily until it beeps(twobeeps) again. - The tester will automatically turn-off if you don't blow within 10 seconds. 3)After you blow, the green LED lamp will flash for 3 seconds, and then the test result will be shown with below corresponding lamp color for 7 seconds with beeps. A) 0.01% 5 beeps with green LED lamp light-on B) 0.01% 7 beeps with yellow1 LED lamp light-on C) 0.03% 9 beeps with yellow2 LED lamp light-on D) 0.05% 16 beeps with red1 LED lamp light-on E) 0.08% 25 beeps with red2 LED lamp light-on **The "Alarm" level is adjustable pursuant to the local legal limit. 4)Then, it will automatically turn-off. 5)To retest, press POWER button again and repeat precedure. - For accurate results, space tests at least 2 minutes apart. Warnings: 1. For most accurate results, wait 20 minutes after eating or drinking before blowing into the tester. - The CA-1000 measures the amount of alcohol in the deep lung air. Any alcohol, food, or smoke in the saliva will interfere with results. 2. Avoid testing near strong winds or in closed rooms with poor ventilation. 3. Do not blow cigarette smoke or liquids into the tester. It will damage the sensor. Wait at least 2 minutes after smoking before driving. 4. Although the CA-1000 accurately analyzes blood alcohol levels, it should not be used to determine if it is safe to drive after consuming alcohol. There is no safe level of alcohol consumption before driving. 5. Keep out of extreme temperatures(Recommended10'C ~ 40'C/32'F ~ 104'F) and out of the reach of children. 6. To maintain accurate results, the CA-1000 can be recalibrated every 6 ~ 12 months.
