Design and operating principle

A heating  coil is switched on when the cigarette lighter is pused in

The thermostat element is designed to hold the lighter in this position .the,heat  generated in the heating coil is transferred to the element ,the ends of the element move apart and release the cigarette lighter,which is ejected by a spring return mechanism and is thus ready for use,or if not used ,cools down again as the return stroke breake the electric circuit
