TLG18 large rail track laying gantry
Description of Gantry
The track-laying gantry is a specific machine designed to lift, transport and lower a
track panel 18m long with a max. weight of 12 Tons.
The gantry consists of a metal structure, and mainly comprises the following parts (see
figures below):
1.1 no. main longitudinal BACK BONEstructure
2.4 nos. articulating HINGE connecting back bone to TELESCOPIC LEGS
3.4 no. INNER TELESCOPIC LEGS
4.2 no. longitudinal leg-CONNECTING BEAMS
5.1 no. HOISTING UNIT mounted on back bone
6.1 no. CLAMPING PLATFORM
7.2 nos. TRANSVERSE CLAMPING BEAM with two clamps each
8.4 nos. WHEEL DRIVE CARRIER
