This is a clutch bell also known as a clutch housing. The attached drive sprocket or pinion has 6 teeth and suits a 6mm chain. It was fitted to earlier Mini Moto quads and racing bikes which did not have a pinion cover. The rear of the pinion or sprocket where it attaches to the clutch bell has an M10 thread. This item fits older Chinese air cooled Mini Moto quads and racing bike styles.Many Chinese parts crossover to fit other clutch bell set-ups, so please check the dimensions and pictures to confirm its suitability for other models.

Replacing your existing pinion sprocket with one that has a different number of teeth will affect your machines top speed and how fast it will accelerate; this is called gearing. You will also need to make sure that the new pinion sprocket will suit your existing chain.

Here are the rules of gearing
1. Increase the number of teeth on the DRIVE pinion sprocket and you will increase the top speed but reduce the acceleration.

2. Decrease the number of teeth on the DRIVE pinion sprocket and you will increase the acceleration but decrease the top speed.

3. Increase the number of teeth on the DRIVEN sprocket and you will increase the acceleration but decrease the top speed.

4. Decrease the number of teeth on the DRIVEN sprocket and you will increase the top speed but decrease the acceleration.

When changing pinion or drive sprockets just bear in mind that you may need a larger or smaller chain to accommodate any changes you have made.
