Disc Wood Chipper

wood chipper is a machine used for making wood (generally tree limbs or trunks) into smaller parts, such as wood chips or sawdust. They are often portable, being mounted on wheels or frames suitable for towing behind a truck or van. Its power is generally provided by an internal combustion engine from 3 horsepower (2.2 kw) to 1,000 horsepower (750 kw). There are also high power chipper models mounted on trucks and powered by a separate engine. These models usually combine with a crane.

The Disc Wood Chipper is mainly composed of four parts: principal machine, coupling, bottom frame and motor, etc, in which the principal machine is composed of cutter head, upper and lower covers, feed inlet and outlet, etc. The design of this Disc Wood Chipper allows disc to be easily moved towards or away from the anvil, this provides a very tight set-up clearance between the knife and the anvil for producing excellent wood chips. By the processing, the materials are turned into high quality, uniform, and multi-application wood chips, which are ideal materials for the manufacture of particle board, MDF and paper pulp. The chips are also well suited as fuel for high intensity burning in modern heating plants.
