Introduction and purpose of electro magnetic separator :

For strong magnetic particles, magnetic force over resistance .For weak magnetic or non-magnetic particles, the magnetic force is weaker than the resistance force .The resultant force between the two force determines the trajectories of the particles, a strong dominant particles called magnetic products, resistance dominant particles become non-magnetic product.
