Ceramic ball bearing especially ZrO2 have the following performance as low density, high strength, low friction coefficient, electrical and magnetism resistance, wear resistance, well rigidity, lubrication and maintenance free when working, it's the best choice for rollers (inner ring and outer ring are made by metal) of the hybrid construction which are used in high-speed, high accuracy and long life environments.

Compared with steel ball, ZrO2 ball has following advantages:

1.  23%lighter than steel ball, which means less centrifugal force and less friction on the groove during high speed and acceleration.

2.  Smaller fiction coefficient, more freely rolling.

3.  Can be used at higher temperature up to 500°C

4.  Never rust, and can roll with out lubrication.

Ceramic bearings offer a significant performance improvement from those made from traditional steel. Our ceramic bearings are manufactured from silicon nitride (Si3N4), an exceptionally hard non-metallic material rated for speeds to 2 million dN, offering a wide selection of benefits.

Hybrid Bearings have steel rings and ceramic balls. Si3N4 Ball is the most popular for the balls as it has only 40 percent of the density of bearing steel but is much harder giving greater wear resistance. Zirconia is heavier with 75 percent of the density of steel so is less suitable for hybrid bearings..
