With the large-scale trend of the ship,the danger is increased during the ship to ship berthing,especially in the situation of sudden weather change and storms.It’s a big leap in the aspect of safety to use pneumatic rubber fenders as a buffer for ship to ship berthing.At present, to safety assurance,Florescence pneumatic rubber fenders have been equipped on many large ships,even the ship to ship berthing in the bad sea conditions.Not only the complicated and heavy berthing works get simpler, but also the transport efficiency i increased.Florescence pneumatic rubber fenders has been widely used in the following work situations.

Fishing operation of ships at Antarctica ice area;
Large tankers ship to ship berthing for oil transferring;
Berthing operation between offshore supply vessel and drill platform:
Logistic supply operation and/ or marine salvage of naval fleet; For large tankers,normally 4-6 sets of pneumatic rubber fenders are hanged at the water line of the shipside.A hanging example of fenders is shown in the figure right.When 4 fenders are used,2 sets are placed at the front and 2 sets at the rear,they are all large scale fenders.In case 6 fenders are hanged on the shipside,1 small fender will be placed at ship bow and another small fender at ship stern.

When fenders are not used,they should be craned to the deck and placed on the anti-rolling seats.

Used for wharf and dock protection

In recent years,there is a new upsurge of wharf and port building.Because of the super large ships,the berthing collision energy is multiplied.Due to the low energy absorption and large reaction force of previous rubber fenders at the wharfs,The shipside and docks usually may be damaged.The low compression reaction force property of pneumatic rubber fender conforms to the dock construction light-weighting trend and protects the shipside from damage as well.Therefore,Florescence Pneumatic rubber fenders are widely used in large-scale docks,wharves and offshore platforms.

The installation method of pneumatic rubber fenders on wharves

The installation method on the side of floating wharf is same as on the ship side.Tidal conditions should be considered when the fenders are equipped on the side of dolphin(pile foundation wharf),and the rope should be long enough.It is a installation case in the figure below.The sizes of parts refer to performance table.
