Introduction of Flotation Machine

Flotation machine is used to separate non-ferrous metals, ferrous metals, precious metals, non-metallic minerals and chemical raw materials, recycle the useful minerals. The device has the following characteristics: the giant inspiratory volume, low power consumption. Each slot has three features, that’s inhale, absorb the pulp and flotation. It’s automatic flotation circuit; there is no need of any auxiliary equipment. The configuration is horizontal, which can ease the changes of process. Slurry circulation is reasonable; it can reduce the coarse sand deposits to the greatest degree. With pulp surface-controlled device, it’s convenient to adjust.    

Structure of Flotation Machine

1).An impeller is equipped with a backward-type double-sided blade, thus the double-loop of the pulp in tank can be realized 
2).There is a larger space between the impeller and the cover plate, and so the inspiratory is giant.
3).The impeller circumferential velocity is low, so the wearing parts’ life span is long. 
4).The tank is forward-style, the dead angles are small, and the bubble velocity is fast.

Working Principle of Flotation Machine

When the floatation machine works, the motor drives the impeller to revolve, so the centrifugal effect and negative pressure are
produced. On one hand, ample air is absorbed and mixed with mineral slurry, on the other hand, the mixed mineral slurry is mingled with additive, meanwhile, the foams are thinning, the mineral is bounded with foams, and floats up to the surface of mineral slurry and the mineralized foam is formed. The liquid surface can be adjusted with the height of adjustment flashboard, so that the useful foams are scraped with squeegee.

Flotation machine is widely used for roughing, concentrating and counter-flotation of nonferrous metal that includes copper, lead, zinc, nickel and molybdenum, ferrous metal and nonmetallic mineral.

Features and Benefits of Flotation Machine

The floatation machine has the advantages of large air-absorption capacity and low energy consumption. Every cell owns three
functions: air absorption, slurry absorption, and floatation separation, and the cells form a floatation separation loop by itself
without any auxiliary equipment, and is allocated horizontally, which favors the change of flow. The circulation of mineral slurry
is reasonable, and can avoid the disposition of coarse sand to the largest extent. There is self-control device on the surface of
mineral slurry, so it is easy to adjust it. The impeller has backward-inclined upper and lower vanes, which produce upper and lower circulation of mineral slurrry respectively.

Basic Process of Yufeng ore beneficiation and upgrading plant

1. Crushing and Grinding stage

The extracted ore should be crushed by jaw crusher initially and then by fine crusher. When it gets the reasonable fineness, it is transported into ball mill by elevating conveyer and feeder, and is milled by ball mill.

 2. Classifying stage

The subtle milled ore gets the next procedure: classification. There is a theory that if the weights of solid particles are different, the sedimentations will be different, and the mixed ore can be classified by screw classifier.

3. Mixing and Flotation stage

The classified ore gets into mixing tank for fully mixing. At this stage, chemical agent for foam can be added. After fully mixing, the slurry will enter into flotation machine.

 4. Concentrator thickening and drying

Then copper concentrate is separated from others. Since the separated ore are wet, they should be dewatered by thicker initially, and dried by dryer.
