Lead Ingot Casting Machine

General introduction

Lead ingot casting machine is used after lead refining or composition adjustment. The metal will be casted into suitable ingot for storage and transportation. Usually the ingot weight is 28kg, 38kg, or 48 kg per unit. An automatic stacking machine is also matched together.

Working principle

Ingot casting system:

Steel structure of ingot casting part is welded with high quality section steel; there are light steel rails on steel structure to make sure the ingot casting moulds can move steady and smooth under certain speed. The speed of the chain can be adjusted illimitable according to production requirement.

Ingot casting mould are precision casted by heat resisting cast iron.

Chains and sprockets are made of 45# steel with heat treatment to make sure that they are qualified on performance.

The cooling system for ingot casting is water cooling on bottom of the moulds, there are steam dust collection window on the upside of the steel structure and water collecting tank on middle part, to ensure the good environment of the workshop.

Auto pouring device: This system can offer two choice for lead liquid outlet: from upside of the lead kettle by pump or directly from bottom of the lead kettle. Come out from lead kettle, the lead liquid will quantitatively flow to a lead liquid buffer tank and adjusted then flow to lead liquid distributor on ingot casting structure, lead liquid will be poured to the moulds under certain speed by the distributor.

Lead ingot removing: After cooling, the lead ingot in moulds is conveyed to tail pulley and forms 90 degree angle with rack, then it falls onto ingot conveying belt.

Ingot conveying belt: ingot conveying belt is welded by channel steel. Its rack is equipped with chain sprocket. When motor is driving, ingot is conveyed to the operation area of automatic stacker’s manipulator.

Automatic stacker’s manipulator: manipulator is installed on ingot conveying belt and ingot stacker conveyor. When every 6 cooled ingots is conveyed to the operation area of manipulator by conveying belt, inductive proximity switch will send signals and then PLC will give orders. The manipulator will follow the order and conduct up, down, right, left movement under the function of cylinder and servo motor to put ingot layer by layer onto ingot stacker conveyer. When the 7th layer of ingot is put, inductive proximity switch will send signals, and then stacker will automatically start motor and put this 7 layers of ingot into a workspace and wait for another stacking cycle of manipulator, and forms a fully automatic production line. (Consumption of compressive air: 1.5-2m2)

Lead ingot stack conveyor: rack is welded by channel steel and equipped with chain, chain wheel, and lead ingot stack conveying support plate. Its function is to lay ingot stack in a organized way and put ingot to the required place.
