Filtration has gained a thorough experience in the treatment of slurries produced in mines and in the metallurgical industry from the following processes:

Flotation (filtration of concentrates):

Flotation is a process of solid-solid separation used to separate the gangue (waste mineral) from the pulp (desired mineral), exploiting the different surface properties of minerals. The several outlet currents from flotation, composed of concentrated minerals, are filtrated through filter presses.

Hydrometallurgical:
