Dry distillation:

The carbonizing process also called dry distillation process, this is the process of turning 

solid fuel into charcoal in a thermal chemical process. The process of making charcoal that 

without the participation of the air, it was a process without smoke, so it is quite 

environmental. 

Available raw material of Air flow carbonizing furnace:

It can produce many kinds of materials, such as wood branch, wood logs, coconut shell, 

cashew nut shell, biomass waste, bamboo, palm fiber and sawdust briquette etc for

charcoal. 

Working process of Air flow carbonizing furnace:

1. Prepared work:

Keep one inner pot horizontal, and if your raw material is wood branch and have no 

request on final shape, you can carbonize it directly, the diameter is better less than10cm, 

and the length no more than 150cm, normally people will cut less than 50cm. 

If you have no request on the final product shape, you can choose the production line, 

make briquette first, it would be better to add the iron case, thus when you take it out, it 

will be simple, finally put raw material into the inner pot, then hoist it into the outer pot, 

and keep the tube of fume extraction and filtering tank on one line, install the inner pot 

and the filtering tank, seal it well. 

2. Preheat process:

You can use wood wastes or other fuel to fire the furnace, first use big fire about 10 

minutes, this process aims at remove the water vapor of raw material, when it reached 90 

centigrade, turn into soft fire (simmer) to heat the furnace continuously.

3. Carbonizing process ( pyrolysis):

Use soft fire to keep 180-235 centigrade for 3-5 hours, in this process, the gas, smoke, 

wood oil tar will be processed, the gas can reuse as fuel though the smoke exhaust pipe, 

and the smoke and wood oil tar can be purified by the purify system. When the finished 

inner pot temperature lower than50 centigrade, the smoke become no color, it means the 

carbonizing process is finished.

4. Cooling process:

Discharge the tube between tube of fume extraction and the inner pot. Hoist the finished 

inner pot out and seal the pipes in the cover, meanwhile, put another inner pot in as the 

same process. 

More cooling time, better quality charcoal will be got.
