Plant source: it belongs to Araliaceae and is the dry root, rhizome, stem and leaf of Panax ginseng C.A.Key.

Ecological distribution: perennial herb, it is born under the mountain of coniferous broad-leaved mixed forest or deciduous broad-leaved forest which is mainly pine. It mainly distributes in Northeast China Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning . The distribution of ginseng is very narrow and the requirement for natural planting environment is very strictly. The estate ginseng grows in Heilongjiang has the advantages of low pesticide residues and heavy metals.

Active ingredient: includes ginsenosides (triterpenoid saponin including panoxadiol, panaxatriol and oleanolic acid) and polysaccharide, polyphenol and volatile oil etc. The ginsenosides in stem and leaf are higher than root, and the ginsenosides are similar to the root. almost the same as root.
