Continuous Belt Bar Screens

Introduction:
Continuous belt bar screens are fairly new self-cleaning mechanical bar screen that are used for continuous screening applications, used to remove large objects such as rags, plastics bottles, bricks, solids, and toy action figures from the waste stream entering the treatment plant.

Functional Principl:
The continuous belt bar screen is equipped with cleaning elements that are fixed to an endless belt used to remove objects from the waste stream. The number of elements attached to the belt is determined by the depth of the channel. The cleaning elements include hooks that stick out to augment the screening capture of larger object and rags from the wastewater.

Features and Advantages:
Since the cleaning of the bar screen is done in a continuous fashion, debris is removed from the channel at a pretty fast pass. This provision allows for a greater screening capacity from the unit.
