1200 degree in rotary kiln, the Yielding gases are expanded by thousands of small bubbles as long as this temperature and porosity will appear by many voids and honeycombs at these round shape aggregates when melted materials become cold.

Clay pebbles is often used in conjuction with hydroponic systems. Though in a classic hydropanic system, plant and vegetables are grown solely on water treated with liquid nutrients (no other growing media). Clay pebbles is often used as a supporting or stabilizing medium in hydroponic trays and pots, or with hydroponic gutter (NFT) systems.
