I Introduction

Medium frequency (MF) induction heating power supply with thyristors is a sort of solid-state converter. It can change three-phase base frequency A.C power into single phase MF power with thyristor modules. Its power control is easy and its operating is reliable. With its high efficiency, the work intensity of its user is low. MF induction heating technology is often used for pipelining and automatic product line. With the MF equipment, the production quality will be improved. Our MF induction heating power supply with thyristors is of all digital controlling and of sweeping frequency starting mode. So it needn’t any medium relay and synchro- transformer, etc. It has good load adaptability and it can start under heavy load. It is used in the fields of nonferrous metals and ferrous metals melting (steel, cast iron, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, gold, silver, alloyed steel), extrusion moulding, bending, preheating, annealing, temper, welding, penetrating heating, quenching, pipe bending, vegetating, etc.
