  Plant morphology small tree or shrub, up to 15m. Bark greyish yellow or brown; young branches hairy. Leaves alternate, ovate to broadly ovate, long 6 ~ 15cm, width 4 ~ 12cm. Apex acute or obtuse, base rounded or subcordate, margin coarsely toothed, glabrous above, shiny, sparse hair on the following green, veins, vein axils between hairy; petiole length 1 ~ 2.5cm. Dioecious, Guduo inflorescence axillary; male inflorescence caducous; female inflorescence length 1 ~ 2cm, no obvious or style, stigma 2. FRUIT (mulberry) purple or white when cooked. Flowering from April to May, the fruit of 6 to 7 months.
