Sporocarp is made of fungus lid, stipe, lamella, universal veil and volva. When Fruit body immatures, the lamella is white; during the maturity it gradually becomes pink, at last shows puce.

Straw mushroom is rich in nutrition and delicious. Every 100 gram fresh mushroom contains 207.7 mg vitamin C, 2.6 g sugar, 2.68 g crude protein, 2.24 g fat, and 0.91 g ash content. Straw mushroom contains 18 kinds of amino acids, which essential amino acids for human body accounts for 40.47-44.47%. In addition, there are phosphorus, potassium, calcium and so on many kinds of mineral elements in it.
