For most detectorists weight has always been the primary concern. Heavy gear translates into fatigued muscles. A sore back or crook shoulder limits the amount of time spent in the field, which ultimately results in a loss of gold. It was this need that prompted Nugget Finder into developing their ultra lightweight fiberglass search coils. Although their coils are the lightest on the market, they have decided to take their existing line one-step further

with the new Super-Light Series.
The SL’s are essentially a “spoked” coil. They are built using the same proven techniques as the solid-fill NF’s (i.e. fiberglass and Litz wire) but sections of the coil have been hollowed to noticeably reduce the weight.
What can be expected from the new NF-20SLM? The same great depth penetration and sensitivity as the solid-fill 20” round mono, but a considerable reduction in overall weight. All SL coils carry the full 12-month factory warranty and includes heavy-duty skid plate and mounting hardware.
Who would purchase an SL? Persons with neck, back arm or shoulder concerns will undoubtedly come to love the feathery feel of the SL Series as would those that specialize in chasing large gold at depth. The 20” SLM weighs in at a mere  995 grams.
