How Does Micro Needling Work?

The procedure itself involves using what is known as a derma roller. This is a small handheld device that is literally rolled across the skin. The device has a large number of precision surgical steel needles that are spaced very tightly together. The needles are designed to create micro- injury, sufficient enough to induce the release of growth factors, and stimulate collagen/elastin production, leaving epidermal barrier fully intact. Resulting micro-channels also aid in infusing therapeutic serums for greater penetration and increasing overall efficacy. Clinical studies have proven that serum absorption is increased by as much as 1,000 times when applied with micro needling roller device. Micro-channels created during the procedure seal within hours after application: long enough for new collagen-structures to form within the lower layers of the skin and short enough to allow patients to resume quickly the normal schedules
