Q2. Are Pute Sheets Strong?

A2: Pute Sheets are made from polycarbonate resin. Polycarbonate resin is inherently stronger than both glass and acrylic. Polycarbonate is 200 times stronger than glass. Polycarbonate is 30 times stronger than acrylic. It is about 15 times stronger than modified impact acrylic.

Q3: Are Pute Sheets Flammable?

A3: Pute Sheets are made of polycarbonate, and are flammable. They have a flash ignition point at about 950 degrees Fahrenheit. However, Pute polycarbonate sheets have the following properties:

Self Extinguishing - when flame source is removed.

Emit carbon monoxide & carbon dioxide gas when burning (the same as red oak in a fire place).

Q4. How Do I Store & Care For Pute Sheets?

A4: Pute Sheets, when properly installed, are resistant to extreme weather conditions and prevent damage from UV rays. To protect their weather resistant qualities before installation, the sheets must be stored properly, according to Pute guidelines.

Q5. What Is The Purpose Of Protective Films?

A5: Protective polyethylene film protects the sheets during transport and storage from dust and scratches. 

Protective polyethylene film on the top of the sheet (exterior side) has printing that indicates the side with UV protective coating – “This Side Up-UV Protected”

Protective polyethylene film on the bottom of the sheet (interior side) is a plain (colored) film. This side DOES NOT have UV protection.
