Watertight Doors and Weathertight Doors

These doors are required when fitting an internal or external door into a bulkhead where there is a 

requirement to stop the ingress of water either through weather or through an emergency flooding 

situation.The doors are manufactured in mild steel plate from 8mm up to 10mm in thickness.

Weather-tight doors can be supplied with independent clips or linked system with handwheel. 

These doors are generally used for external weather protection. These can vary from 2 clip spray tight up to a 8 clip system linked and operated by single lever handle.

Watertight doors are for fitment where head of water pressure is required. The pressure is generally 

required to be sustainable from both sides. This head of water pressure can be up to 15m for MML 

watertight doors. The doors that are designed to take a large head of water pressure are operated by a 

central hand wheel connected to 12 clips through a gearbox mechanism for ease of operation.

Watertight Hatches

Watertight hatches are manufactured to suit client requirements. These are available with independent 

clips or operated by central hand wheel. The watertight hatch is available to withstand a head of water 

up to 7m.
