Application

Silicon carbide is a man-made material manufactured through heating silica sand and carbon to high temperatures in the Acheson furnace technique. Silicon carbide is an extremely hard material (Mohs hardness 9.25), is chemically inert and does not melt. Silicon Carbide has a high thermal conductivity, a low coefficient of thermal expansion, is thermal shock and abrasion resistant and has strength at high temperatures. Silicon carbide’s varied properties make it an effective material in many different applications.

Green Silicon Carbide is extremely pure & extremely hard, coming in at a Knoop 2600. It is typically only used for high tech, critical applications due to its cost. Like black silicon carbide, it will splinter as it breaks down, making excellent for recycling. It is the media of choice for wire sawing and sintering. It also has a high thermal conductivity.

UNLESS your application requires an extremely pure SiC, by default, Black SiC is preferred due to its more economic pricing, as well as availability. Right now there is a worldwide shortage of Silicon Carbides, especially Green Silicon Carbides and price are steadily rising. If you can use Black instead of Green, it is highly suggested you do so. It can be used in:

Reusable abrasive

Lapping and polishing medium

Grinding wheels and grinding medium

Wear-resistant and refractory products

Blasting systems

Pressure blast systems

Injection blast cabinets

Packaging

1> Conventional packing ton bag (1,000kg per bag), or small bag inside ton bags(20,25,50 kg per bag).

2> Special product can use moistureproof bags or barel moistureproof bags.

3> It also can be arranged according to the customer request. In woven plastic big bag per MT or as per customers' requirement.

Delivery Date

Within 14 working days after P/I confirmed usually.

Samples  & Inspection:

We could provide free sample for our customers, the buyer will only have to bear the express charge.

And we do arrange factory inspection for all goods which had been produced and deliverd,and can provide SGS and certification from other testing organizations as well.Additionally, the buyer may appoint a third party inspector or, in person for inspection of the goods.

Ordering & Payment: 

You could place a trial order for test the quality of the goods,our minimum order quantity if 20 tons.If the tria order met your satisfaction, you can place a official order.

We usually accept T/T and L/C payment and will deliver the goods within 14 working days after receipt of the advance payment/ Letter of credit.
