About This Fabric

All chemical agents can affect the human body in one way or another. Because of the presence of static dissipative fiber, antistatic performance of this fabric is not dependent on ambient relative humidity. It is important to know that this fabric is designed to combat nuisance static only. It should not be used in critical static control applications.

FR Treatment

Fabrics that are treated with a flame retardant chemical to make them flame-resistant. The fibers used in these fabrics, such as cotton are not normally considered protective and become flame-resistant of the treatment.

Quality Control

Drotex® FR fabrics are only sent to customers after being strictly tested and inspected for quality, durability and flame resistance to make sure they meet or exceed the standards for flame resistance.

In an enclosed cabinet, 12-inch long fabric specimen is vertically suspended in a holder with the fabric restrained on three sides. A controlled flame is impinged on the bottom cut edge of the fabric for 12 seconds. The flame is extinguished at the end of 12 seconds and three sets of data are recorded:
