Properties:
Hot work tool steel with high level hot wear and impact strength, good thermal conductivity, excellent hot tensile strength properties, high resistance to thermal fatigue and wear, fine grain size with high toughness, extra fine structure without grain boundary carbide, contains low P and S alloys, nitridable, well polishable, admits water cooling. This grade can be produced on request by the process EFS, ESR or VAR.

Applications:
Heavy duty hot work tools and dies, pressure casting dies for light metals such as aluminum, zinc, magnesium, dies for friction and mechanical presses for hot forming of steels, brass, aluminum and its alloys, dies for extrusion of aluminum, liners, punches, mandrels, dies and containers for metal tube and rod extrusion tools, tools and dies for the manufacture of hollow bodies, screws, nuts, rivets and bolts, die inserts, hot shear blades, molds for plastic materials, cold pilger mandrels and jaws, hydro forming tools, tools for hot forging machines, plug inserts, dummy blocks, shrink rings.
