System Description

1) Pretreatment system

It consists of one of 1500 mechanical filter, one of 1500 activated carbon filter, two of 400 precision and security filters, adding scale inhibitor and locculant units etc. The system output capacity is above 18 m3/H, required water temperature in the range of 250C±30C. The mechanical filter can readily remove floc, colloide and coagulate particles from water because fouling index (SDI)of raw water comes to ≤4 after particle electrostatic charge is neutralized by the use of flocculant. The mechanical filter capacity is 18m3/h, its filter speed 8m/h and manual operation.

Since tap water, often used as raw water, contains a lot of residual chlorine, but the low-pressure composite reverse osmosis membrane must follow the requirement of the residual chlorine value ≤0.1mg/l, so the activated carbon filter is previously used for eliminating residual chlorine in water to ensure efficiently the RO unit longevity, stability, safety and reliable operation. The activated carbon filter capacity is 18m3/h, its filter speed 8m3/h and manual operation.

Langelier saturation index shows positive value in raw water because of containing a great deal of calcium and magnesium ions, and the RO unit producing high desalination rate up to 97% causes calcium carbonate, magnesium carbonate and magnesium sulfate separated out to the bottom on high solute area of the reverse osmosis membrane resulting in sediment adhesive to the membrane surface, blocking flow passage, increasing pressure difference, decreasing flow quantity and desalination rate, affecting normal operation and use life, so a set of sale inhibitor unit is arranged ahead of the security filter for safeguard, lowering Langelier saturation index to negative value and preventing scale occurrence on high solute area of the membrane

The precision and security filters trap impurities escape from the activated filter and stop them enter into the RO unit.

2) 1-stage RO system

It adopts most advanced imported low-pressure composite membrane to desalinate, mainly including a first high-pressure pump, a first RO unit and a chemical cleaner etc. The first RO system can desalinate up to above 99% and completely get rid of organism, microbes, virus and pathogenic germs etc. A chemical cleaner purges sediments on the membrane surfaces in the periodic to keep the RO unit operation stably. The RO unit employs USA Hydranautics CPA3-8040 serial membrane component and excellent high-pressure pump. The system has output capacity up to 10m3/h, water recovery 75%.

The first high-pressure pump is a power source of the RO system. In order to guarantee the system operation under good condition, the pressure switch will transmit a signal to PLC controller to let the pump cease when pump inlet pressure is less than its limit value (lack of water P≤0.05Mpa) or pump output pressure larger than its limit value.

3) Disinfection system

Water from the RO unit enters into the oxide mixture tank, and the ozone generator emits ozone into the tank to kill any bacteria and virus, finally flows to the purified water tank drawn by the purified water pump to the filling equipment. Flavorful drinking water is successfully prepared.
